Ubuntu in VPS Servers
Ubuntu is available with all of our VPS servers and you can acquire a VPS running it in just 1 hour. 32-bit and 64-bit editions of the OS are available, which means that you'll be able to pick the one which you need when the software that you wish to run on the web hosting server has specific system requirements regarding this. You can also select whether your Ubuntu-powered VPS should be set up without a Control Panel, in which case you'll have full root access and you will be able to set up anything using a console; or if the Hepsia Control Panel should be installed on it, in which case you will have a world wide web interface and all of the needed web server, MySQL, FTP, mail server, etc. software is pre-installed. The root access in the second case will be more restricted, but this type of installation is more effective for users with less experience. We can also maintain your Ubuntu up-to-date on a regular basis if you add the Managed Services upgrade. You will be able to do so throughout the VPS order process or at any later time via your billing Control Panel.
Ubuntu in Dedicated Servers
Ubuntu is one of the OS options that you'll find on our order page in case you decide to acquire one of our dedicated servers. We can set up the 32-bit or the 64-bit edition, in order to meet the system requirements of the applications that you want to install on the server. You can also select the software which will operate on your machine, due to the fact that we will install only the Apache web server software, so the rest can be custom-made software of your choice. You will be able to set up the latter without any problems through a Secure Shell console, because you'll get root-level access and you'll have full control over the server. You are free to set up a hosting Control Panel as well and manage some things via a graphical interface, as long as it can run on an Ubuntu-driven machine. To make things easier for you, we also offer a Managed Services upgrade, that, among other things, includes OS updates.
